Healthcare simulation
Patients move through triage, tests and treatment while beds, staff and rooms stay limited. Stocha is designed to test 12 decisions here, each as a ready-made model template.
See the emergency worked example, a real engine run.
What Stocha measures
- Wait to see a clinician
- Bed occupancy
- Time from arrival to discharge
- Staff utilization
- Patients who leave without being seen
Decisions you can test
Packs are planned. The first wave ships with the private beta.
- Emergency department First waveHow many triage nurses keep the wait to see a doctor under your target?
- Outpatient clinic First waveWhich appointment template cuts patient wait without leaving clinicians idle between visits?
- Operating room scheduling First waveHow many rooms should we reserve for add-on cases so elective surgeries stay on schedule?
- ICU and bed managementHow many step-down beds free ICU capacity fast enough during a winter surge?
- PharmacyHow many pharmacists per shift keep prescription turnaround within your target at peak hours?
- Radiology and imagingDoes adding an evening scanner shift clear the inpatient imaging backlog before morning rounds?
- Lab and pathologyDoes batching samples every hour or processing continuously give faster lab results?
- Vaccination siteHow many check-in desks and vaccinators keep the line moving when walk-ins double?
- Ambulance dispatchWhere should we post ambulances so response times hold when one station goes offline?
- Telehealth triageHow many nurses on the triage line keep callback times within your target?
- Dialysis centerWhich chair schedule across shifts serves more patients without overtime for the nursing staff?
- Hospital discharge flowDoes moving discharges before noon reduce emergency patients boarding while they wait for beds?
Questions about healthcare simulation
How do I test emergency department staffing before changing the rota?
Model how patients arrive by hour, the triage and treatment steps, how long each takes and how many nurses and doctors are on shift. Run the day many times for the current rota and the proposed one, then compare the average wait to see a clinician and how much it varies. Change one thing at a time, such as an extra doctor in the evening peak, so you can see what each change is worth.
Will there be ready-made healthcare models?
Yes. Emergency department, outpatient clinic and operating room scheduling templates are planned for the private beta. Pharmacy, imaging, lab and the other healthcare templates come later. The beta has no date or price yet.
