Logistics, warehousing and transport simulation
Goods, vehicles and containers queue for docks, cranes, sorters and crews with limited capacity. Stocha is designed to test 14 decisions here, each as a ready-made model template.
See the warehouse worked example, a real engine run.
What Stocha measures
- Truck wait at the dock
- Orders shipped per shift
- Dock door utilization
- Time from receipt to shipment
- Passenger wait at security
Decisions you can test
Packs are planned. The first wave ships with the private beta.
- Distribution center First waveHow many pickers and packers per shift ship every order before the carrier cutoff?
- Cross-dockHow many doors and forklifts keep inbound trailers from waiting in the yard?
- E-commerce fulfillmentDoes wave picking or continuous picking ship more orders on time during a holiday surge?
- Cold chainHow many cold dock doors keep loads from waiting outside refrigeration longer than your limit?
- Last-mile deliveryHow many drivers and routes deliver every parcel within the promised window on peak days?
- Truck yard and dock schedulingDoes an appointment system for carriers reduce truck waiting time at the dock?
- Rail yardHow many switching crews keep outbound trains departing on schedule when inbound arrivals bunch?
- Port container terminalHow many cranes and trucks per berth keep vessel turnaround within the schedule promised?
- Bulk portHow large should the stockpile area be to keep ships loading when rail deliveries are late?
- Airport check-in, security, gates and baggage First waveHow many security lanes keep passengers on time for flights during the morning departure peak?
- Air cargoHow many build-up stations get export cargo to aircraft before each flight's cutoff?
- Parcel sorting hubCan the sorter handle peak-season volume if one induction line goes down overnight?
- Robot fleets (AGV and AMR)How many robots and charging stations keep pick stations supplied without traffic jams?
- Reverse logisticsHow many inspection benches clear returned items fast enough to restock them before demand fades?
Questions about logistics, warehousing and transport simulation
How do I test dock door and crew plans at a warehouse?
Model truck arrivals by hour, unloading time per truck, the number of doors and the crew on each shift. Run the day many times for each plan and compare the truck wait at the dock and the orders shipped per shift. Appointment windows can be tested the same way, by changing the arrival pattern.
Is there a ready-made model for a distribution center or airport?
Distribution center and airport (check-in, security, gates and baggage) templates are planned for the private beta. Other logistics templates come later. The beta has no date or price yet.
