Supply chain and procurement simulation
Orders and stock move between suppliers, plants and warehouses where inventory and lead times set the limits. Stocha is designed to test 6 decisions here, each as a ready-made model template.
What Stocha measures
- Orders filled from stock
- Order to delivery time
- Inventory on hand
- Backordered units waiting
Decisions you can test
Packs are planned. The first wave ships with the private beta.
- Multi-echelon inventoryHow should safety stock be split between central and regional warehouses to protect service levels?
- Sales and operations planningCan the current plant and warehouse capacity meet next quarter's plan if demand runs high?
- Supplier lead-time riskHow much buffer stock protects production if a key supplier's lead times double for months?
- Returns and warrantyHow many repair technicians keep warranty turnaround within your target after a product recall?
- Spare partsWhich stocking policy for critical spare parts keeps equipment downtime low without excess inventory?
- Vendor-managed inventoryWhich replenishment trigger keeps store shelves stocked with fewer emergency deliveries from the vendor?
Questions about supply chain and procurement simulation
How do I test inventory and reorder rules across suppliers?
Model demand per day, supplier lead times and how much they vary, and the reorder point and order size at each site. Run a year many times and read the share of orders filled from stock and the inventory held. Stock-outs depend on how much lead times vary, not only on their average, so test both.
Can I fit lead times to my own supplier data?
Partly today. Fitting patterns to your own data is under development. Supply chain templates are planned after the private beta.
