Mining and construction simulation
Trucks, crews and heavy equipment cycle between sites where loaders, cranes and access points are limited. Stocha is designed to test 6 decisions here, each as a ready-made model template.
What Stocha measures
- Truck wait at the loader
- Loads hauled per shift
- Loader and crane utilization
- Truck cycle time
- Crew idle time
Decisions you can test
Packs are planned. The first wave ships with the private beta.
- Open-pit haul cyclesHow many haul trucks per shovel keep the shovel loading without trucks queueing for long?
- Rail-to-port miningHow large should the port stockpile be to keep ships loading during rail line closures?
- TunnelingDoes adding a second muck removal train keep the boring machine advancing without stops?
- Construction crew schedulingWhich trade sequence and crew sizes finish the floor cycle without crews waiting on each other?
- Concrete batchingHow many mixer trucks keep the pour continuous when traffic delays deliveries to site?
- Crane logisticsHow many tower cranes and lift slots keep material deliveries from stalling work on each floor?
Questions about mining and construction simulation
How many haul trucks should work with each loader?
Model the loader's loading time, truck travel and dumping times, and breakdowns. Run a shift many times for each fleet size and read the loads hauled and the time trucks queue at the loader. Too few trucks leave the loader idle; too many leave trucks waiting, so the best fleet size is between the two.
Is there a mining or construction template?
Not yet. Mining and construction templates are planned after the private beta.
